LITEVORI / PRIVACY
Privacy policy
Local media, history and caches, website visits, and support email.
Updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains how the Litevori app, its website, and support email handle information. For privacy or deletion requests, contact helloyongxiang@gmail.com.
Media processing on your Mac
Litevori analyzes, previews, compresses, and converts images and videos you choose to import on your Mac. The app does not automatically upload media, file paths, processing history, or usage activity to developer servers. It requires no account and includes no advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs. There is no cloud media processing service.
To perform these operations, the app reads media content, filenames, paths, sizes, modification times, and properties such as format, dimensions, duration, audio tracks, and color information locally. Source files are opened read-only; results are saved separately. Folder imports include subfolders by default, with an option to disable recursion. The app does not automatically scan your Photos library or monitor other folders.
File access and the clipboard
You can import local files through a file picker, drag and drop, or an explicit paste action. Litevori does not monitor the clipboard in the background. It reads relevant file URLs or image data only when you initiate paste. Pasting an image creates a local PNG cache copy that becomes the input for later processing.
The app does not request access to the Photos library, microphone, screen recording, location, contacts, or Full Disk Access. macOS may still request permission for protected folders or external drives you select. You can manage applicable permissions in System Settings. The app rejects network URLs and does not download files referenced externally by media.
Local settings and history
Appearance, your last output folder, recent valid processing settings, and saved presets are stored locally. History includes task dates, source paths and file identifiers, settings, status, engine versions, output paths, and actual sizes. A per-file confirmation about missing video color information may also be stored with its task. These records are not uploaded automatically.
During startup recovery, the app removes history records created more than 30 days earlier. You can also clear records on the History page. This does not delete originals, exported files, presets, or other caches. Removing records is not a secure erasure of the storage device. If a database is corrupt, the app may retain a local backup for recovery; backups require separate management.
Caches and temporary files
Video previews, image working files, and uncommitted results may be stored temporarily on disk. Previews are normally deleted when released. At startup, the app also removes the oldest unused preview directories when they are over seven days old or the preview cache exceeds 500 MB. This is not a hard storage limit for active tasks.
Pasted image copies have a separate cache with no fixed automatic expiry or size-based eviction in the current version. The seven-day / 500 MB preview policy does not apply to them. An unexpected exit, failed deletion, or disconnected drive may leave cache files, working files, or incomplete results. The app attempts cleanup when it can establish that files belong to its tasks; it does not guarantee that no files remain after quitting.
Outputs and media metadata
When you start processing, the app creates a batch folder inside your selected output folder and saves results there, avoiding replacement of originals. You manage exported files yourself. Clearing history or uninstalling the app does not delete them automatically.
Some capture information or container metadata may be removed, but Litevori is not a metadata anonymization tool. In particular, lossless optimization of an original-size PNG retains its metadata. Other outputs and filenames are not guaranteed to be free of identifying information. Check content and metadata before sharing. If you save to iCloud Drive, another sync service, or a network drive, or open a result in an external player, that system or service may transfer data under its own policies.
Local diagnostics and components
The app and macOS may produce local operational, error, or crash diagnostics. Litevori does not automatically send diagnostics to the developer. Local history, error reports, or materials you choose to provide may contain filenames, paths, and media information; review them before sharing. macOS and your system settings govern retention and sharing of system diagnostics.
The app uses Apple's local media frameworks and bundled FFmpeg / ffprobe, libwebp, and oxipng tools. These are local components rather than online media upload services. Their license notices accompany the app's components.
Managing and deleting local data
You can remove queue items, clear history, or delete presets. Removing a queue item does not delete an external original or necessarily remove a pasted image copy. To remove other app data, quit Litevori first, then use Finder's Go to Folder command to inspect these locations and delete only content you recognize as belonging to Litevori:
- App data, history, presets, database backups, and previews:
~/Library/Application Support/Litevori/Release/. - Pasted image copies:
~/Library/Caches/Litevori/Release/Clipboard/. - App preferences managed by macOS:
~/Library/Preferences/com.helloyongxiang.litevori.plist.
For Litevori Dev, the first two locations use Development, and the preference identifier is com.helloyongxiang.litevori.dev. Other temporary files, system logs, or backups may exist. Removing the app does not mean these files or your exports have all been deleted. As local media is not uploaded to the developer, the developer cannot remotely read or delete those files for you.
Website visits and browser preferences
The website contains no advertising or behavioral analytics scripts, uses no remote fonts, and sets no cookies for advertising tracking. It stores only your manual appearance and language choices locally in your browser, without submitting those preferences to a server. Choosing system/browser defaults or clearing this site's browser data removes the relevant preferences.
Cloudflare delivers and protects the website. During a visit, Cloudflare may process your IP address, request time and path, browser/device details, and traffic information, and retain standard access or security logs to deliver pages, troubleshoot issues, and prevent abuse. This is separate from the app's local media processing. We do not promise that website visits involve no data processing or no logs. Handling and retention depend on the service configuration and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Support email and policy changes
If you email support, the developer processes your email address, message, and any files or diagnostics you choose to attach to respond, investigate the issue, and provide necessary follow-up. An email provider transmits and stores these messages. Send only what is needed, preferably public examples or materials with private information removed. You can request deletion of support correspondence using the address above, subject to information that must be retained by law or to resolve a dispute.
This policy will be updated when features or data practices change, with the revision date shown on this page.
